Niche Games Enjoyer

Average person in their 20s. View Backloggd for my taste in games. I swear it's really good! And to clear up confusion, when I say "PMD", it always refers to "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon", which is another series I love!

Play Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Freedom Planet 2! And Solatorobo, and PMD: Gates to Infinity; those games have been shaping my preferences considerably!

SPOILERS FOR GAMES 2+ YEARS OLD!

That first link shown above, is where you can find the thousands of 3DS Pokemon Mystery Dungeon portraits I sorted with the help of Emmett Eon; very good stuff!

so gamemaker removing its subscription fees for everything except console exports and going free for personal use sure is something, huh?

previously godot was basically my only real option moving forward (not that i got very far with learning godot this year, because burnout), but now gamemaker's looking a lot more promising again. already downloaded the editor and started doing a couple of the beginner tutorials. i'll have to toy around with both and see which engine i vibe with more before committing to either one for the next thing i wanna make

in reply to @ponett's post:

I've been really enjoying Godot so far, been working on a prototype for a couple months in it. I might check out GameMaker now but at this point I'm feeling screwed over by commercial software one too many times...
