as i'm writing this it's been 7 minutes since 2024 started. as usual i'm not too enthusiastic about it, in fact i feel pretty bored right now, so take this as an attempt to relieve my boredom a bit

my life is pretty uneventful by most people's standards, and with this in mind i'd say this year was a bit more memorable than the last couple years:

i had a few medical appointment trips resulting in a vvd (vegetovascular dystonia) diagnosis and discovery of a heart condition i have, so that's fun; lost roughly 10 pounds in weight; after the last unsuccessful attempt in 2022 i finally have a sona with a design i'm comfortable with for representing myself online; on the topic of online i've migrated to cohost as my only social media platform (if you don't count discord as one).

i haven't consumed much media this year, but i've played a few cool steam games like freedom planet 2, gravity circuit, copy kitty, zeroranger, spiritfarer; got into touhou with normal 1cc runs, played ghost trick and was sold on shu takumi writing, which led to getting into ace attorney (currently playing investigations 1). watched some anime like the vision of escaflowne, flcl, kiki's delivery service, a few episodes of the big O, started reading the original appleseed manga. that's kinda it
i can already tell 2024 will be a year of big changes since i'll be graduating high school and moving to live in the city... naturally i'm both kinda excited and anxious at that prospect, only life will show how that's gonna play out
