Niche Games Enjoyer

Average person in their 20s. View Backloggd for my taste in games. I swear it's really good! And to clear up confusion, when I say "PMD", it always refers to "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon", which is another series I love!

Play Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Freedom Planet 2! And Solatorobo, and PMD: Gates to Infinity; those games have been shaping my preferences considerably!

SPOILERS FOR GAMES 2+ YEARS OLD!

That first link shown above, is where you can find the thousands of 3DS Pokemon Mystery Dungeon portraits I sorted with the help of Emmett Eon; very good stuff!

Jonathan Underdown - In the Zone (Ace Combat X2: Joint Assault [2010])

Lyrics are in the captions. It’s basically the essential anime theme song for the IRL airplane pilots out there. So many different flavors of awesome here, from the optimistic lyrics depicting someone taking up flight duties for the first time, to the high-energy metal Guitar melody that simply never stops outside of a dozen seconds from the loop before playing again.

That Guitar solo near the end is also noteworthy, setting the aforementioned melody into a worthy climax. The addition of a high-impact Drum set and the Bass of well-varied pitches are just tips of the iceberg for why this track is as memorable as it is!

(Length before loop: Nearly 3.5 minutes)

Burnout Theme (Burnout 2: Point of Impact; Burnout 2002 Reprise version [Burnout Dominator] [2007]) & Burnout Paradise Theme (Burnout Paradise [2008])

[Will insert description here later; my apologies for not being able to finish this list in time without cutting corners a little]

(Length [2002 Reprise]: Nearly 3.5 minutes, [Paradise Theme]: 3.5+ minutes)

INNOCENT PRIMEVAL BREAKER (Ys Seven [2009])

If there was ever a character theme for a heroic task force consisting of String-instruments, it’d sound like this sick track with the Electric Guitar, Violin, and Bass as the main trio, with the Drums as a non-String sidekick to tag along with. The other sounds would be their fanbase, and it’d be one heck of a party to attend! That’s my favorite way to describe this solid track’s emotion and instrumentation, take it or leave it!

(Length: 5+ minutes)

DESTINY WILL TELL (Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny [2009])
