Niche Games Enjoyer

Average person in their 20s. View Backloggd for my taste in games. I swear it's really good! And to clear up confusion, when I say "PMD", it always refers to "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon", which is another series I love!

Play Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Freedom Planet 2! And Solatorobo, and PMD: Gates to Infinity; those games have been shaping my preferences considerably!

SPOILERS FOR GAMES 2+ YEARS OLD!

That first link shown above, is where you can find the thousands of 3DS Pokemon Mystery Dungeon portraits I sorted with the help of Emmett Eon; very good stuff!

WARNING FROM THIS POINT ONWARD: Most of the favorite tracks from this point onward are devoid of descriptions, but will be updated to contain full descriptions someday next year. I apologize for temporarily lowering the scope of the list like this, but it’s the only way I can get it finished before the end of the year at this rate, a promise I want to fulfill. With all of that said, these later entries have just as much love and appreciation behind their inclusion, so don’t underestimate what they have in store!

Zone 4 (Puzzle Bobble Plus!/Bust-A-Move Plus! [2009])

[Will insert description here later; my apologies for not being able to finish this list in time without cutting corners a little]

World G (Art of Balance [2010])

A solid example of a game I didn’t really enjoy playing from start to end (Janky physics in a puzzle game are a big no-no), but love a specific track from it regardless. Intentional or not, there’s a whole “ancient ruin” atmosphere to this track, with a bunch of echo to the magical sounds utilized, most of which I’m not very familiar with.

What I know for sure is how encouraging the track is meant to sound encouraging throughout, given how this is near the end of the game, in World 7 of 8; it does a very good job in that regard. Oh, and don’t mind the title in the video saying “Wii U”, the music is the same across all versions of the game (I played the 3DS “TOUCH!” version, in case you were curious)
