I got a good fine-point ink nib from my grandpa's stuff, been having some fun playing around with it. Ink drawing is fun, I should do it more :>
I haven't done the manuscript/king's quest inspired style for figures in a while, as appear by the tree.
Actually that, in general, is. An artistic motif from when I was younger, the tree and the figures in black and white are symbols in the religion of my old fantasy world from high school. They are the gods who made life, from whom are descended the elves (I was incredibly tolkien-pilled, as the kids say), and the concepts of love & grief.
Death was her own force, born from Nowhere, the Void; who came and took the goddess in white for her own. She unwilling to deny Death's loving embrace. In some sects of the religion, they're seen as the same figure. From the god in black's greif, sprung the lords of Fear and Sadness, who caused a conflict so great they pulled mountain ranges up from the earth to serve as its forts.
Also these legends were maybe based on the last remnants of humanity on earth after everyone left 'cuz it was rendered uninhabitable, taking over the ecological restoration & terraforming technology to play Gods.
Anyways I was thinking about them. Since I did more ink drawing back then. They can have some peace, here, as a treat.
