I've been with Furaffinity since 2006. Seeing it take these arbitrary steps, seemingly intentionally fracturing its userbase, is absolutely wild to see.

it has survived on inertia for far too fucking long at this point, how many times has everyone "gone to weasyl" and yet somehow it kept kicking

in my time between 2013 and quitting it in 2015, there were like four different "we need to all leave FA" level controversies but not one was able to kill it, including the initial IMVU acquisition and the mod leaks and god i forget what else

i wanna believe this is curtains but it sure fuckin' won't be unless they actually run out of money, they're beyond critical mass to keep the site going even now i'm sure

If any of you out there are also fleeing the wreckage and want to set up a place on Weasyl for yourself, a kind person activated my account for me just a little bit after I originally announced on FurAffinity that I was moving there - I can't see who it was, but a big thank you to them!

That means I can also offer account verification to anyone else here who needs it to start posting/commenting, and I'm happy to do so if you need it! Just reach out.~

To put it simply - not only do I no longer feel comfortable or safe using FurAffinity, I feel insulted by its staff, and I refuse to use it in any capacity anymore, including allowing them to gain even a minuscule amount of traffic from people reading my stories there.

As a result, all of my stories have been officially removed from the website now. The documents and descriptions have been replaced with a brief explanation that links to the journal above instead. I wanted to preserve the comments and kind interactions I had with people on that website still, so the shell of the stories have stayed, at least for now. I don't know if they'll be taken down in the future, either by myself or someone in charge.

I have always uploaded all of my stories to SoFurry, where they are all still entirely available for people to read at any time, and if this were ever to be lost, I keep everything I've written saved to my hard drive as well, and can always repost them.

I am also officially setting up shop at other websites where I feel a bit more comfortable - currently this extends to Weasyl, it seems to be a good place from what I've seen and heard, and I'll be posting all of my old stories there over the coming days. If I find more places where I at least feel comfortable enough to start up an account, I'll keep people posted on that.
