Leonardo DiCaprio playing the stupidest lead this side of a comedy.

i liked this movie, i didn't quite know what to expect but it certainly was a good watch. The end was a surprising and somewhat delightful twist. It's also interesting how the main character is deep in the ""mystery"" and we know it but he himself seems to be unaware of it. All because he's a complete moron.

DeNiro gives a good two-faced performance on the flipside. He makes you want to believe him when he says he's your pal and will bat for you. Of course, it's all bullshit. Everyone but Ernest knows it's bullshit.

Overall, i'm happy i spent 206 minutes watching it.

8/10

The Flarestar is a hybrid between a flare gun and a shotgun. As such, it can load standard shotgun shells and shoot them one at a time. This may seem dangerous with its short barrel, which is why through some unknown method, possibly magic, this gun somehow focuses the spread when firing pellets.

It's a one-of-a-kind gun with a mysterious past, as it is passed from person to person once someone worthy is found.

Tonight, Peptinedine finished the Goldsmiths' Guild Questline... She crafted a bunch of high quality pieces of jewelry and got embroiled in the machinations of Jade Fox.

A notrious tief seen in Ul'Dah recently. But Peptinedine was commissioned by Roroton to make multiple pieces of jewelryt to get close to the Sultana, so clearly he has to be a good guy, right?

(Yes, he is, he's a good capitalist. those definitely exist in a fantasy world like this)

So Robert was the jade Fox, not a sultansworn. How could someone so dreamy be a thief? That said, Gigi saw through the ruse and gave chase after robert came to arrest Roroton...

A gun was drawn, a head was but and gigi was damaged... But Peptinedine used her newly made ring to repair is ass (i would not have done that) and Serendipity found out he's the Original Mammet all Mammet are made to be like.... Wow.... I still hate it.

But before that i guess i'll need to discard a zillion gemstones since those are completely, utterly and entirely worthless. Same for ingots, ingredients... There's no way i can get anything to sell on Halicarnassus turns out.

Next up: Peptinedine returns to sewing

So, Peptinedine came back to the Goldsmith's guild, bags full of rocks she had mined recently. I figured i'd need to polish a lot of rocks but oof, took even longer than i thought, i had a LOT of raw gemstones.

Anyway, the plot of these quests. GiGi the sexual harrassment robot is malfunctioning in imperceptible (to Peptinedine) ways, acting more erratic (?). I, for one, don't really want to repair the bugger but it's not mine. Also it does have generations of tribal knowledge baked in its head. I guess there's value to that.

Anyway, Peptinedine repaired bridges with a Limsan (Lominsan?) businessman, made some fine jewelry and impressed him easily.

Did I mention she polished a lot of rocks also? She polished a ton of rocks... I'm sur i can sell them on the market at least, hopefully for a pretty penny. Though i'll likely spend more of them to craft recipes. The goldsmith has... A LOT of recipes. Circlets, chokers, bracelet and rings for each of the many gemstones you can mine......... My completionist tendencies will be the end of me.

Next Up: Peptinedine keeps on doing those quests, probably saving GiGi's life (and hopefully making it not a sexual harassment robot anymore)
