my journey for The Teal Cocktail continues ever onward. it’s time i decided to pull out a standard (albeit rare bottle) aged rum. the cork broke in the process, which really is a testament to how old this bottle is. it’s gonna have to sit with a pour spout until i can get a replacement cork.

this drink i appreciate a lot. it’s not using a coconut rum as the body, so you still get that alcohol bite in the end. very enjoyable.

recipe:

  • 1oz aged or spiced rum
  • 0.75oz lychee liqueur
  • 0.75oz simple syrup
  • 0.5oz blue curaçao
    shake with ice
    fill a highball glass with crushed ice
    pour
    top with passion fruit nectar
