Grims' Plush Collection

This is Rainbow the chameleon. He was also gift from my dad (maybe 2001-ish???); I had seen him at the mall and wished we had gotten him, and then one day after work he came home and was like "I saw your friend Rainbow at the mall, but I turned around and then he was gone- no idea where he went" and dad turned around, and he had put Rainbow's tail through one of his belt loops and I was so amazed and happy 🥰 (my dad wasn't and still isn't a very....gift giving person, and asking him for stuff was/is very difficult- our relationship is a liiiiittle strained, but we talk at least.)

That moment always stuck with me because it was such a sudden gift, and I didn't honestly think he remembered which thing I saw and wished I could get. I also went through a major Beanie Baby phase when I was little lmfao

I got this as a Valentine's Day gift from my dad in 2002. She came with the name Bessie so I kept it as that.
I always loved how well made this one is, I have to go back and look and see who made her lol

Ellie has also been around for probably just as long, if not longer, as Kitty-mousey-doggy-bear. I just don't remember her from that early on hahaha
She has a rattle inside that's very gentle, and I do remember her having a bunny counterpart, but I wasn't as into that as I was her. You can see she's really stained; I washed her several times both in the washing machine and by hand, nothing ever worked lmfao the point is, she's clean lmfao

First actual plushie post!! This is my first-ever real comfort item, Kitty-mousey-doggy-bear, (named by my mum due to 1. me being like 18 months old or something, and 2. we never really knew what this critter was even supposed to be. So, the name stuck.)
My mémère got it for me at the now defunct Building #19 (New England store chain that was (in)famous for its very cheap rugs, but not being the cleanest store ever lmfao it was neat! And by not the cleanest, it was just VERY dusty)

Between falling in the CLEAN toilet several times, me losing it in the house in the worst spots and finding it later on dusty and a mess, this poor thing has been through the wringer, both literally and figuratively lmfao but I still love it to this day. I'm glad it never got permanently lost 💜

(You're gonna notice a lot of these early plushies being pink, it never bothered me bc pink isn't a girl's color to me bc that's dumb as hell, but I didn't exactly come out and live as nonbinary until a few years ago lol)
