The Archivist and the Revolution might be one of the more interesting speculative fiction inspired by the covid pandemic i've played.

it explores trans lives after more trans oppression happened and i think how it simulates the chronic fatigue of living in such a dystopia is fantastic.

interactive fiction like this is always so worthwhile to play through. want to make stuff like this someday...

we played through this one back when this year's ifcomp was running, and it was our immediate favorite of the batch. we still keep thinking about it, months later.

played this last night and it's put words to my own sense of "being a trans woman in a sick society that wants us dead devouring itself" more than almost anything i've read. crushing future histories and the understanding of our collective past being written by those with power. warning for severe transmisogyny, it's a painful one; i really like it / recommend it and also think cis people should read it
