YAHOO!!! I've successfully stuck with learning japanese for exactly a month now. Ahhhh I'm enjoying it so much! I admittedly took it easier for the first chunk of this month, but since then I've been absolutely blasting!
I wish I had picked this up again whenever I felt the urge over the years, but I kept telling myself "if you can't keep up a drawing routine what hope do you have with anything else? one thing at a time...." MAN this is what I've needed honestly. A fun, educational hobby that isn't art/creative. (I count learning gamedev as a creative field for me ok).
It's also something I can chip away at when I need a break from work. Art is something I gotta dedicate time and brain power to.... spending 5 minutes doing some flash cards with slime forest essentially is much easier to pick up and put down.... But also putting some real time into it is also so satisfying!
I know nothing! I'm barely an infant! I got this though!!!! Keep it up tiff!! On the downside I haven't drawn all the month... and I still gotta catch on my commissions.... getting my brain to do creative things is hard... Which is why I'm so happy there's now something to fill that void! If I could just spend my days studying Japanese for a while I think I'd be very fulfilled. (ahhh but the world won't stop for me will it...)
