i entered a fey mood level of hyperfocus over the bank holiday weekend and banged this thing out. it's based on moritz klein's transistor vca but since i copied some stuff from the mki x es.edu version (like the resistor values and the offset pot) idk if i can actually put my breadboard schematic for this in the repo. either way it works great, and i've finally worked out a way to drill holes in the panels with enough accuracy that i don't have to spend hours filing them into alignment afterwards, which is how i did it all so fast. shame i was rushing and accidentally let the drill bit dance across the metal..
im forcing myself to take it easy wrt making new modules for a bit due to reasons1, but i'm kinda bouncing back and forth on whether i wanna make an envelope generator or a clock module next? i've breadboarded a basic envelope generator based on another moritz klein design already and it's p. nice but i think i wanna try out rené schmitz' 555-based design since i'd want the decay and sustain to be better separated. on the other hand i want a clock module so i can sync my volca sample to it and finally Have Drums, but i need to fuck about with an arduino for that and i've never interacted with one before in my life,
1. once i get one to the point where all that's left is to make it i enter a haze and can't focus on anything else until its done, which is fine if i don't really have much else going on but i kind of do right now so i'm strategically avoiding getting any more modules to that point,
