Having been a modestly successful Twitch streamer led me to believe I have good social skills but it just taught me how to talk in a situation where people actively seek me out and now that I'm trying to build genuine friendships it turns out discussion is a two way street and I never learned how actually start conversations as I start learning this very basic thing at the age of 36.
