Every time I see shit like this I'm both beyond grateful that I'm finally free of cis relationship nonsense but also remorseful that I didn't think about myself harder when I was having doubts in 2014, five and a half years before coming out as trans and seven years before finally ending the marriage.

That's one thing I have never understood about that kind of rationale. It's like to hear these people talk about marriage or even sometimes being in a relationship in general, they make it sound like they're talking about a 9-5 job or something.
I am very happy you were able to get some distance from all that and make changes in your life that have made you a happier person :D
