I have returned from Adepticon! Got significantly less painting done than I would like, but played a lot of fun games with buddies and I'll take that trade every time. It was admittedly difficult to get back into the swing of painting again, but getting The Biggest Gun finished feels good. That I have a whole Soulshackle box's worth of models and terrain to assemble/paint makes the need to get through the Kriegers more immediate. Notes on the model below the cut!
There are few models in Kill Team that are as crucial for multiple factions as Guy With Plasma Gun. Plasma guns are present in the armories of:
- Veteran Guardsmen
- compendium Guardsmen
- Kasrkin
- Imperial Navy Breachers
- Hunter Clade
- compendium Space Marines
- Blooded Traitor Guard
- Legionaries
- compendium Chaos Marines
- Death Guard
With unlimited range, dealing 10-12 wounds on your average shot, and crippling the target's defense rolls, the plasma gun is a model to keep careful track of. As ever, the gunner still only has 7 wounds and a floppy 5+ armor save, so don't move them out of cover unless you've got a clear shot on a Marine or some other crucial target. Your opponent, if they have any sense, will divide their turns into Before Plasma and After Plasma, trying to avoid committing the bulk of their force until the gunner is unable to respond.
The gun on screen is actually modeled after the MK IId Accatran Pattern, which Lexicanum reports was issued to the Death Korps specifically.
