Here we cross from the Gunner Veterans into the realm of the Specialists - the guardsmen that will ideally spend two or three turns doing work from the back lines before hurling themselves into the grinder. Notes on the model below, but first:
-
I want to hear not a single word about how the gun barrel is shiny and Ackshooal Raifuls are blackened to reduce shine. Ranger School is a myth told to you to sell more scopes.
-
I don't know if I managed to hit the left leg wrapping with any paint at all, but no living soul will see it.
Kill Team is a game about controlling firelanes, and no one holds a corridor better than the Sniper Vet. Their long-las hits on 2+ and deals a ferocious 6 wounds on a crit - three of them mortals. Between the Sniper Vet and the Plasma Gunner, the Veteran Guardsmen have a total of two (2) reasons to field a Zealot Veteran. Moreover, so long as the Sniper doesn't move during their activation, they can fire while concealed to deny counterfire. Paired with a Spotter Veteran on a good vantage point, the Sniper Veteran is a serious problem for any opponent on open boards.
