HE FIGHTS FOR FREEDOM

Yes, I'm aware that paladins have higher stats and wear armor. Yes, I'm aware that the Warriors of Discord have extremely low intelligence and will, and will happily stand there and get crushed by a rock giant when other units will look for reinforcements.

But.

When your newly acquired land (bought at rock-bottom prices from a Very Scrupulous Lord) is Target #1 for every bandit, marauder, monster, and opportunist in a ten mile radius, you don't need Honorable Fighters For Good with a strict martial code and a Bachelor's in Duellist Etiquette. You need a dozen psychotic murderers that don't care that there are more rock golems in the village than peasants. These insane beefcakes took a look at the three full stacks of dwarfs hammering away at my library and decided that, instead of "calling in the reinforcements" or "purchasing healing potions", they would RUSH the stumpy bastards and start swinging warscythes until they were knee-deep in gore.

When the golems and giants came to uproot those who dared bring civilization to their sacred lands, it wasn't the paladins or healers that stood their ground so that my wizards could do their work. The Warriors of Discord stood their fucking ground and died in their droves so their compatriots could bring the beasts down.
