Why is every decently popular video game getting a boardgame version now? Slay the Spire I understand, but then Deep Rock, Dead Cells, and now Terraria are getting or have one, just to name the ones off the top of my head. What next? Minecraft: The Boardgame?

They even started releasing physical copies of "Chess" and whatnot, it's silly indeed!

On a more serious note, I THINK boardgames are actually just a very decent and efficient way of incresing passive income and advertisement for a franchise, and they still are a very popular form of entertainment too(?) If a boardgame sits in a shelf long enough, someone will grab it. I just wish many of them were a little better, sometimes the transition from video to boardgame is sort of clumsy and uninspired, sadly 😄
