But here we are. Cohost may be the first place in a long while I felt like I could carve out a sense of belonging.

I never knew if the accounts I followed were big or small. If they had tens of followers or thousands. I think that helped with getting over that hurdle to comment on their posts. To engage with them. Numbers never mattered and Cohost was testament to that. I may have put some off-colour and weird comments on other peoples' posts but I never felt unwelcome to. This place helped me be more social on the internet.

Twitter felt like an empty void filled with hungry sharks. Tumblr just felt like an empty void. No idea how bluesky's gonna feel. I'm gonna miss this place. This place wasn't perfect but you got the sense people were trying.

I hope I can keep that commenting mentality and the urge to just post. And be nice.
