i’m so fucking pissed, seeing people i follow being harassed, seeing mutuals being harassed. seeing posts about trans women sharing experiences with transmisogny and other trans people thinking they’re fine, that they’re in the clear cause they’re trans or even saying that trans women are the villains, trans women are the real harassers, it’s trans women’s fault you’re doing this.

please for the love of fucking god listen to yourselves, listen to what you’re saying. and better than that, if you’re tme, just don’t fucking talk on trans women’s issues. actually listen to trans women, lift their voices, stop arguing with them.

and stop repeating textbook transmisogyny, if you actually listened to trans women you’d know this stuff.

Rita Predstrogen posted that they were annoyed that TME people were continuing the same targeting tactics they used on Tumblr over here. Some TME people then replied to this to ask why she's transandrophobic and painting all trans men as enemies (despite trans men not coming up until that point).

Since this is the same stuff she's been dealing with for the last few years, she told one of them to kys while asking them why they're misconstruing her words. She then got moderated for this, while the people harassing her over it were not apparently moderated for brigading.

This is very similar to the things that caused a lot of new users to come over here from Tumblr. The only real difference is that staff of this site was not directly targeting her, though being complicit in mass harassment of trans women isn't a great look when this site is trying to brand itself as being a better, safer place than other social media sites. I've gotten a good number of folks bothering me since I first pointed this out, along with a lot of sealioning about it.

Transmisogyny Exempt, as opposed to Transmisogyny Affected. TMA is meant to be a way to talk about the specific overlap of transphobia and misogyny that trans women deal with. A common tactic is TME people insisting that all people are affected by transmisogyny, since everyone is hurt if they're accused of being a trans women, and as such attempt to silence trans women from discussing issues specific to their lived experience.
