Hello there!
I’m Evelyne, but online and in most art communities I typically go by BLUEHALO. My pronouns are they/them or she/her and I identify as non-binary.
Classically trained as an illustrator, designer and animator through CCAD, I'm currently working in the wild world of independent and freelance art after having held positions at several studios in Columbus Ohio. I’m also the lead artist for the collaborative studio I run with my partner, AR.GI.BI. Creative Studio!
As far as my favorite topics and genres go there are many I hold dear, but most can be found under the general “pop culture” theme. I absolutely love animation, and have been watching cartoons and anime for what feels like an eternity. Video games are a huge part of my life too, and recently I’ve gotten into table-top and board games as well. I have a soft spot in my heart for retro nostalgia, there’s just something so warm and whimsical about items and designs from times decades ago. I regularly enjoy incorporating these aesthetics into my work and making parodies of vintage artwork and graphic designs. I have a deep love and connection with animals of all kinds, and can very often be found drawing them as well as anthropomorphic characters.
Personally I feel most at home creating works featuring vivid colors, vintage aesthetic and cute animal characters. They’re absolutely my favorite to work with and have found they’re perfect for me as I explore who I am and where my artistic journey is taking me.
