Finally watched Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and damn, what an experience! I love how much more we get of Gwen, but I also adore where they took Miles. This is like the Spider-Verse of Madness! So much going on in some scenes, and that chase sequence is totally crazy!

I liked the cast of this film better than the first one, but then again, how could I not?! Don't need to say anything about the animation because we all know it's on a whole other level. Definitely one of my favourite Spider-Man stories ever.

Amazing film, but... man, if I knew it would end like that, I'd have waited a little more before watching this lol At least until we have an official release date for the third film 😅

Yep, it's a great movie but I do wish the end was self contained and not a cliff hanger. The third film was originally suppose to come out early next year, but with the strikes who knows now.

It annoyed me when I watched it haha But jokes aside, I don't think it's even such a dramatic cliffhanger. I like how they focused on the Spider-Society, and that was a satisfying storyline, leaving The Spot and the final confrontation for the third film. Generally speaking, a worse film would've made this cliffhanger be a lot more frustrating 😅

For some reason the original "this is obviously a part one of 2" title/promotional work was dropped.

I'm really really glad someone on qtoid mentioned it because yeah, I can see how going into it not knowing would be a bit of a bummer.

Was it supposed to be a two-part film? I didn't even know if the first was going to have a sequel lol

It's a bummer when you're in the moment, really wishing to know what happens, but jokes aside, I'm fine. The film itself was extremely satisfying, so I'm not fuming at the cliffhanger, just really want to keep watching this amazing series!

The people saying "I would have waited for part two" is exactly why it was retitled. That's basically marketing suicide these days (see: Mission Impossible 7).

I feel like comparing middle acts of a trilogy to Empire Strikes Back is so contrived at this point and every exec does it for marketing purposes but man...

This was actually Empire lol. Everything that happens in the final third + the cliff hanger was just straight out of that playbook.

And I loved it!
