Here You Are

30 something millennial full of dark humor and disdain for capitalism. But also, I crochet cute stuff and things.

Hey there! Getting a fresh new start on a new social media platform is nice. I’ve never done an intro post but I see the value of it. I like reading this on other people’s pages. And then you can know what kind of person I am, what my biases may be.

You can call me Rain. I live in the PNW, in the U.S. I’m a 30 something cancer. I am biracial (mostly: german/Irish and Mexican/Apache). I have had a complicated relationship with my race/ethnicity throughout my life. In general, at this point in time, I have white passing privilege. I’m very queer in all matters of my life. Specifically, it’s important for you to know I’m agender, genderless, gender free, gender whatever. While in college I studied anthropology and gender, sexuality, and queer theory. I’ve worked as an early childhood educator since 2007. I suspect I’m neurodivergent. I don’t want to label or box it.

All of these things have greatly impacted who I am as a person. It’s led me to see that humans are inherently good and the society we’ve built for ourselves is inherently bad. The system forces people to make harmful choices and enforces harmful beliefs. My goal in life is to be kind to everyone, help out when I can, stand up to injustice when I’m able. So feel free to hang out here! Let’s have a good time making art and talk shit about the government.
