you have an idea. its kind of neat, and genuinely could be fun to do one day. it's also not something you necessarily want to jump on right now

where do you put it? a big list? how do you let it sit, while also ensuring you're reminded of it every now and then, and also giving it opportunity to die if the time comes?

actually, a brother of mine had a fantastic idea about this

which is that you put all your loose thoughts/ideas/feelings into a big metaphorical bucket, and then every now and again you pull one out at random, consider it, and decide what to do with it: maybe you have space in your life now and want to make it a reality, maybe you've decided that it's time for it to die, or maybe it goes back into the bucket

with proper bucket mixture (or some third-party influence) you ensure that every item will be seen in due time, but without overwhelming yourself and without forcing anything

the bucket and list work equally well for me (which is to say, not very well at getting anything done now, but uh... I have a chost about my tetris goals which is one such list, and it's been pretty motivating in the long run (idk why))
