I... some of this stuff makes me wonder if we're working hard enough on making our tools work for teaching programming. Holy cow.

This idea of simplifying syntax of languages to work for children and then gradually adding complexity is brilliant.

watched; that one actually intrigues me greatly because it is imperative/OO vibes, which I speculate is possibly not optimizing for humans as much as a reflection of the data available. I know that CS at my university first teaches people a simplified racket lisp (god fucking help me with my dyslexia with that many symbols though).
