Given you can’t plan too much (so no skydiving which was my biggest “pushing myself” moment a couple years ago), maybe try Eritrean food if it’s available near you. Suggesting ethnic food is a little “exotic” but in my limited expense, most Americans (assuming you’re American) haven’t ever tried it and find it to be quite an experience. I personally love it.

well, I reached out to make plans with my brother to go to an Eritrean place around here, but apparently he's taking me to a Himalayan place instead? Hopefully it'll be fun still, and maybe I can take myself to the other place another time :p Thanks for the suggestion!

seeking out our current job was a pretty big career pivot, since we were hopping from for-profit to non-profit and a bunch of other changes. it felt good. that was about six months ago though.

in terms of stuff that we're willing to talk about on social media, that's more recent... well, we advise other activists on corporate accountability stuff quite a bit, and that always feels good because it's about speaking truth to power. it would be accurate to say that holding the tech industry accountable slots into our life in the way that hobbies do for some people, although we're careful to never put our own need to be doing this ahead of the cause.

also we went for a bike ride around the city a few weeks ago on a new fancy bike we got, that was pretty great. Vancouver is very bikeable. we need to do that more, now that it's slightly safer to go outside...
