I did a similar one of these on reddit but the headline "My indie team spent the last 4 years on this game" and then I got banned from /r/gaming for a month for posting too much advertising on my reddit account total. But did get a bunch of positive attention for about 90 minutes, so that was nice. Anyways, a few people got mad in the comments for us being already established indie developers and not plucky upstarts, because redditors are so INCREDIBLY bought in to the narrative that they'll think it's there even when I didn't even say it.
