This but mostly unironically. There's a stigma in the American suburbs about not having a license. While in NYC it's actively a point of pride to not have one. We should be extremely clear how dangerous and sucky driving is. Driving should not be a primary mode of transportation, and when you do drive, you should do it defensively with an understanding of the risks. Nobody should need to have a car!

i know this joke is meant in the sense of "just don't drive," but my ex's conservative christian step mom once told me "you haven't lived until you've had sex while driving" so maybe some people need this in the other sense
my ex's parents were also unsurprisingly completely baffled that we were capable of behaving morally without the threat of punishment from sky daddy
