I just went to the DMV to get my car’s tabs renewed, and they’re charging almost $800 for it?!? I paid $5 last year, what’s going on??

What the fuck? That's absolutely bonkers. We moved from Texas to Massachusetts and getting the title transferred to my name from my dad's plus getting it registered was less than $200. That's so fucking wild.
