64x64 mostly just solid colors with some textured gradients for fancy baked shading

Of course mine's a Mega Ma'am obvs

Mega Man Battle Network is a very special series to me, and hasn't been cracked since imo, it's a truly fun series if you can look past capcom killing the team every new entry

Fun project~! If I feel like rigging it and adding weapons I'll do it, but the modeling is the most fun part for me rn

Pew pew lets go remake brrrrrrrrrrr

Just flat out Base for her name is the most sensible but honestly BIAS goes fuckin hard lol

Coming along!

Can I just say how much it fucking rules we can download old models, the megaman psp powered up ones helped me reverse engineer and down-poly hands!

It felt like I was breaking something making an even smaller poly count on these old models, they are SO clean and efficient <3 . <3

DONE, got a tattered skirt for her! If I feel like it I'll also make a caped version, but for now onto proto!

HedgeMom
@HedgeMom

After getting the first base model (lol) I can get them out a lot faster!

Proto was a ton of fun, I really like how I got the helmet down :D

HedgeMom
@HedgeMom

Aaaaaaand full circle! This was a ton of fuckin fun, I am excited to rig em soon!

Not done with the skirt but calling it a day so I don't jank up my body more over the compooper

The thing that took all day was futzing with geometry nodes in an attempt to be able to swap hand models so they could change between open and closed, with no way to make it work within the timeline, defeating the point almost entirely! I'm sure something will come around, until then their hands and other item models are just what they are from start to end of animation with no changes, what can ya do!

Still really enjoying the final product, and I'm having a blast keeping this thing as absolutely bare bones as it can possibly be. Currently on 3's and thinking about adding some 4's just to add secondary animations nuance. I love pushing the PSP/DS era of design sensibilities, there's some absolutely wild shit and I haven't even gotten into shaders or normal mapping >:D

Oh this rules, have you ever played Gurumin? I think you would like the fun chunky character designs in that. I think it was a PSX game originally but I played the PSP port and I loved the aesthetic on there.
