It's worth noting: Twitter tried doing this almost exactly 10 years ago, and the outcry was so huge that they had to roll it back. Elon doesn't listen to people though, so I'd expect this one to stick.

And, yeah - there's no way I can picture using a site like twitter without blocking fucking working. (Not that I use twitter anyway, but you know)

A small note, especially for anyone who doesn't post on Twitter but still has an old account sitting around: taking your account private still works, and it will additionally inhibit Musk from monetizing your posts as private accounts don't seem to get recommended in the "For You" feed.

this isnt' gonna stick either. he's tried pulling this countless times and yet every single time nothing has happened in relation to it. especially not when a block button is literally mandatory (part of the guidelines) for a social media app to be allowed on Google and Apple's app stores.

Unless Elon suddenly stopped caring about money. Would that make sense?
