it's good that we're all familiar with the "return to tradition" type of fascist thought, particularly in the way they discuss aesthetics and classical european design—but i think it's led to the conflation of modernist architecture with leftism, which is very silly at best

I was an architecture history TA, so I want to add an actual leftist modernist architect if anyone's interested:

Moisei Ginzburg, an early soviet architect involved in the Constructivist movement who was a pioneer in social housing. the above image is a laser eyes picture I made of him to piss off trad architects on twitter, feel free to use.

I just played Season: A Letter to the Future after watching Jacob Geller's video essay "Art in the Pre-Apocalypse" and am reminded of the Grey Hands in that game. I have to believe that they took a lot of pages out of the Italian Futurists manifesto.

I feel like Christopher Alexander is the inverse — I don't know if he's "trad" per se, but whatever he is is definitely in the service of humanity.
