q: does your clone have protection from clicking a mine first tile, or is it spicy?
it is currently spicy. i thought about adding that but it would require restructuring the code a bit. i might add it at some point in the future though.
I recently wrote a little Pong game and it took me 2 months to add the finishing touches (like a point display...) because it was technically playable, so whenever I wanted to finish it I just ended up playing it a bunch instead
i think there's something inherently more fun about playing a game you've made yourself. the mental transition from seeing it as a technical challenge to a gameplay challenge is one of the most satisfying parts of making games for me.
