back when Project RyME released, i got plenty of emails from people wanting a review key. i know the vast majority are just looking to get some to resell, but i took a handful of keys and sent them out, with a twist. i encoded the keys in some way that required looking up some external info to decode them, so if they wanted the actual keys, they would need to put in a small amount of work. it seemed appropriate for the game as well.

fast forward to a few days ago when i was setting up a Throne account for a goof. i happened to find a listing for a Project RyME steam key that was less than half it's normal price. i added it to my wishlist because i thought it was weird and funny and didn't think much more of it.

then someone actually bought it for me (along with a white mage dress). i just got the key and checked it against the keys i sent out. it matched the one i sent to the steam curator "No Pussy Zone" (probably the least surprising of the keys i sent out). interestingly, the key was decoded, meaning they went through the trouble of finding the last 2 digits of Gabe Newell's birth year and did a Caesar cipher shifted by that value to decode it.

so now i have one extra key to my own game that someone else paid $6.66 for and i have no idea what to do with it. maybe if someone on cohost is interested in a review copy hit me up?
