extra special hate for the CVS app, which does not have separate notification settings for "your prescription cannot be filled, contact your doctor ASAP" and "new deals picked just for you!"

great job, CVS marketers, you found a scenario where it might be medically dangerous for your users to turn off notifications, and you put ads in it

The actual reason I left Twitter and Reddit was that I stopped using the official apps because they would send me "Hey you haven't opened me in a while! Here's some random trending posts" notifications, and then after I got comfortable with some third party apps that did not speak to me unless spoken to, they shut off their third party app APIs :\
