Titanium dioxide, or "Titanium White," is naturally white and does not need to be bleached.

The color on the right, "Unbleached Titanium," is actually a combination of titanium dioxide with black, red, and yellow iron oxides. It was originally created by accident due to contamination during manufacturing, and rather than throw it out or market it as "Desert Beige" or whatever, Bocour (a now defunct company from the same family as Golden Artist Colors) decided to promote it as a more, uh, natural form of titanium.

While many manufacturers still use the "unbleached" name, Golden now markets this color as "Titan Buff."
