I just started playing Pokémon for the first time ever with the Yellow edition. So I have no idea what that pink thing is, or why it's rare. My only big accomplishment so far is getting that fish thingy that just splashes round to finally evolve into what looks like some kind of sea monster.
What version of Pokémon is this?
The screen is from Scarlet.
Mew is #151 of the first gen of supposedly 150 Pokémon and there was no way to catch him in-game without exploits. The official one was only distributed in events.
Also he's the basis for Mewtwo whom you should encounter in Yellow's post game.
Since then he's been distributed so much that it's unlikely that regular players don't have several.
I just decided to get another one instead.
Also my guts are bad enough as is, and I don't have a lv.100 matchoke to help.
