Well, like so many of us, I hoped this day wouldn't come, but here it is :eggbug-pensive:

Cohost Build Club ppl: are any of you all on MyFigureCollection? I'm RKasa over there, same as here (and an MFC staffer as of last month). Maybe we can get a Cohost Memorial Build Club going there...

Everyone: All my socials can be found here. I'm most active on Bluesky, Discord (particularly the VGHangover and Backloggery communities), and Steam. I also have a self-hosted blog but it's pretty much dead.

an instant turnoff for me as far as video games go is if your game's name starts with "pixel". theres like 30 billion games that are all called "pixel dungeon 3D" girl what are you talking about. my new game where there's pixels. my main selling point is that there's pixels. it's a top-down dungeoncrawling action-adventure game like any other. but. youre not gonna believe this. it can display things to the screen. next year I'm releasing a game called "super oled brothers"

Oh, that's a good one. Me, I can't stand games that start off describing themselves with the likes of, "(Game) is a (genre) (maybe another genre) with (very different genre) elements inspired by (famous game) and the works of (famous creator)."

I understand that the creators of these games want to get people interested by rattling off things they may like, but it's everywhere. It's like Mad Libs instead of a proper, interesting description. Instant. Turnoff.
