Final update on my Cardcaptor Sakura reread: I plowed through the Sakura Card arc after all! I've heard that the Clear Card continuation is kinda bland, so I don't plan on picking that up anytime soon.
But anyway, hoo boy is CCS chock-full of problematic pairings. Here's how I rank them all, from best to worst. No unrequited loves here, just established twosomes.

When these reprints were announced, I knew I had to have them. I've been wanting these books for years, but they were long out of print, and the third one in particular had a low enough print run that it was very expensive on the aftermarket. The Memorial Book has been reprinted as well, but I haven't picked that one up... yet?
Also, a quick update on my Cardcaptor Sakura reread: I've finished the Clow Card arc, but am ambivalent about starting the Sakura Card one, as I don't like it as much. If I have time for it, maybe...
Started rereading Cardcaptor Sakura last night because I wanted to dammit. I replaced my Tokyopop editions with the Dark Horse omnibus ones years ago, but this is my first time reading the latter. I'm already picking up on what has changed and what has more or less remained the same. The main changes in the Dark Horse editions seem to be a greater adherence to the more Japanese elements of the manga (certain foods in the like/dislikes in the sidebars, addition of honorifics, etc.). I'm also kinda digging how Sakura says "Ehhhh?!" instead of "Fweeee?!" when surprised. "Fweeee?!" always seemed a bit weird to me.
