apparently, after his latest tantrum, some people have been seeing tweets from melon husk on their twitter timelines without them or any of their mutuals following him. i started wondering why i haven't seen any, and found out that apparently the way they work is exactly the same as other "X commented on/liked Y's tweet" suggested tweets (just massively boosted, somehow)
...suggested tweets, which can be completely blocked by twitter's very own filtered phrases system. lol. lmao
maybe i was expecting a bit too much from them, thinking they'd set up a new system for something like this (even though it would be kind of on-brand), but it's still incredibly funny to me that the whole thing could be preemptively avoided altogether via the platform's own basic functionality
