was doing some Bandos, and i decided to go for the 15-kill trip achievement. 14 kills in, i was flicking protect from magic between the boss's attacks, like you do. i had to stop to eat for a bit, so i walked under him before resuming attacking. i hit the boss, and he dies - but not before punching me in the face for a 56. i died. my heart fucking sank.
the boss has a VERY long death animation, so i thought the game wouldn't register the kill because i'd be outside the instance by the time the animation ended. in the end i think it was the exact tick on which it ended and i got thrown back to Edgeville.
but i still got the achievement! i think it even took an extra tick or so after spawning there ("death lag") before the game actually awarded me the achievement, so i really thought i didn't get it. (you can also see in my inventory i still had a decent bit of food left, so it probably wouldn't even have been close had i decided not to flick prayers on that last kill!)
i almost cannot believe that worked!! ^^'
