got to spend the last 2 hours of work washing machinery parts all by myself. thank god. i was so ready to just Explode.
as for the present, the car's being checked up atm. shouldn't take long, and should be all fine i think? it has started to make some noise sometimes when going 70+ as of late, and seems to struggle with (re-)acceleration afterwards... could be just winter tyres against the asphalt (and not snow/ice)? but idk
at least now i know the cause for said issues: front brakes get stuck and start chafing against the pads. pretty tight too, apparently; the inspector got them a little loose for me, and i could immediately tell the difference.
other than that, got a comment about the hand brake: turns out it's pretty loose (or something? i've known you gotta pull it pretty high up before it starts holding). funny how that works out.
also, all of the tyres were on the wrong way - as per stepdad 's instructions, to "even out the wear" by alternating every year. idk if it's actually good to do that, but if it gets me a comment about it during checkup then i think i'd rather put them on as intended.
