I genuinely don't really bother giving a damn about relationship stereotypes but today I had the best lesbian couple ever at work. Both in their likely mid 40s, doing some kind of home renovation/project/something. One in a pastel red, white flower print sun dress with matching shoes and curly hair. The other in jeans and a tee shirt, boots, with a buzz cut. I wasn't rock solid sure they were in lesbians till one referred to the other with a pet name. I'm there with a pride pin on my work duds and my nonbinary colors bracelet and step in to help. First we get them set up with some lawn equipment, then tee-shirt mentions wanting a big chop saw.

I was like hell yeah we've got those. So we grab the power equipment (a string trimmer and some stuff) and off we go to find the saw. I was like "we've got a few. There's the miter saw, and the 14 amp radial arm saw, and then there's the big daddy 15 amp radial chop saw" and without missing a beat, sun dress said "get the big one, she's got work to do" and they agree. So I'm like "hang on a beat, I'll go grab a flat cart so we can haul this thing" and they're like "sure". I'm maybe thirty steps away and I hear sun dress shout my name and say "never mind she got it" and I turn around. Sun dress is now holding string trimmer, and tee-shirt stands up WITH THE WHOLE CHOP SAW AND STAND COMBO BOX ON HER SHOULDER.
I head back that way and sun dress just shrugs at me and says "she just does that sometimes" and in my head I'm like BEHOLD, THE POWER OF LESBIANS anyway best customers of the day.

The tiny 70-80ish year old lady I had who actually said "my riding lawnmower is in the shop again and my weedeater fell apart and I'm not screwing with it any more, I want your best electric push mower because I'm not pull-starting any damn thing" was a close second. She was hyped that we had a dual-battery, dual-blade wide cut all-wheel-drive self-propelled electric walk-behind unit and mentioned that her husband "has no say in how much money she's spending because he doesn't cut the grass because he's in a wheelchair and he didn't do it when he could still walk anyway so she's getting a nice mower".

What a weird day at power equipment sales and home improvement products store, it was great.
