I'm just going to say that without my direct permission (or the direct permission of character owners within the setting), I'm not okay with fanart of Floraverse characters sexually.
A few months ago, I found out an acquaintance of mine had been commissioning NSFW material from an artist whose other NSFW Flora art made me uncomfortable and unhappy. I did not directly speak up to this artist at the time, but it has come to my attention that they are now blatantly expressing disregard for how they make others feel with their NSFW fanart. I'm not okay with this. They are sexualizing and drawing porn of characters with my personal feelings in them, and this ends up feeling hugely violating of me as a person.
I am ONLY okay with fanart that respects the characters AND the people behind them AND the setting AND the community. Any fan creation that doesn't follow these guidelines is not fan material that I am okay with.
In general, I'm not okay with anyone who disparages the community continuing to draw fanart or make media (NSFW and SFW!) related to Floraverse. I don't want it. I'd prefer that they move on and participate in something they have a healthy connection with, instead of trying to force a connection to something in a way that leaves the rest of the community feeling violated. It is disgusting. I am going to discuss more specific details behind the cut.
@pomegraniter I ask that you stop making and consuming anything related to Floraverse. I'm not okay with you sexualizing aspects of me or my loved ones. I do not want anything to do with you. I barely know you except through you making uncomfortable porn I wasn't okay with to begin with. Please make your own characters in your own settings and leave me alone. You are acting in a violating way towards me and my setting and I do not appreciate it. It gives me feelings like you're fine with raping people's feelings, and I don't like that. Please leave my setting alone and my characters alone. We treat the characters with a level of realness you are raping like it's a funny sexy game. Stop.
If you do not want to associate with my work, Pom and anyone else, then drawing fanart of my work is still associating with my work due to what it represents. You cannot separate my characters from their context.
