Since i don't expect there to be a huge crossover between my twitter account and my cohost (perhaps.... not yet.....) i have decided to make a blood bowl team as cheaply as possible, using only bits and minis i already had.

Projects like this are always interesting for me. When i was a bab very few gw systems were miniatures complete, there were often entire units that simply did not have official miniatures. Part of the game was making your own substitutes. I do miss that part of the hobby - at heart, i am a DIY or die kind of grognard.

So, as a result, i am creating an imperial nobility team from a box of perry miniatures european mercenaries, bits from the frostgrave soldiers and knights box, and a pewter maneater ogre i had laying around. This team will lack a lot of the bulk and dynamic poses from the gw miniatures - hence the title of this post, the titular 'we have a team at home', but even so, i know this will be a lot of fun.

If you havent tried making a gw team, gang, or even army out of cheaper substitutes, converting and kitbashibg as you go, i highly recommend it. You spend less, become a better hobbyist, and you still get something you can play - even if maybe you cant take it to warhammer world.
