Nothing challenges my faith in the fundamental goodness of humanity and feasibility of the leftist project generally quite like seeing or hearing about a group of generally amicable people, often even union members themselves, just up and decide that picket lines don't apply to them because they aren't convenient. What a deeply rotten expression of the willingness to step on your colleagues' necks to get a little bit ahead in this world. What a clear and unambiguous signal that you simply don't believe the world can be a better place and in fact think it's foolish to even try. It turns my stomach.
