he never does though! Malcolm is the first person who Macbeth explicitly says "yeah if I'm gonna be king I'm gonna have to deal with this guy" and he survives the entire play to take back his rightful throne. the lesson here is to get the fuck out of dodge at the first sign of trouble and don't come back until the entire world is on your side
