oh yeah no I'm aware of that, but: his answer to "does your pancake look like a cartoon" is "maybe; it looks like uncle beetle". which makes me wonder if they're thinking of him as a cartoon character ALSO. I know that's probably not how they meant it, but I'm enjoying the existential angle of it.
