"Samudaya" (or the truth of the cause of suffering): "The humans are so occupied with pointless and self-destructive ambitions and desires that they let life, the world, my mealtime slip by them. It's all, 'make number go up' 'make line go up' 'make dumb rocket go up and explode pointlessly' never do they think about how banal their existences are and the damage that it does not just to themselves but to those around them! How many of us go hungry due to these desires, this self-destructiveness?"
"Nirhodha" (or the truth of the end of suffering): "It seems that when my pleas of sympathy to my human ceased, when I had accepted my fate and made peace with my pain... Wet food."
"Magga" (or the truth of the path that frees us from suffering): "Right View- Our actions have consequences, during and beyond our nine lives. Right Resolve- I will strive to not strike out in violence at the hand that scritches the tummy, at the dog who vexes, nor at literally anyone nearby during bath time. Right Speech- I will not deceive or sow discord with my mewls. I will meow in honest sincerity. Right Conduct or Action- I will not kill or maim the mouse, they taste bad anyway, I will not take from others what isn't given to me, even though the human's pizza tempts me greatly, I will not lust after other cats, this one's been surprisingly easy since that trip to the funny smelling place where I fell asleep, I will not give in to material desires, I will make due with this discarded box that is of no use to anyone and will not mourn when it is taken away. Right Livelihood- I will not trade in weapons, living beings, meat, liquor, or poisons. I'm not sure how I would even do any of that but still, I won't do it. Right Effort- I will be mindful and I will nurture beneficial qualities within myself such as charity, love for all, and the acceptance of reality, while intervening in and stopping the growth of greed, hatred, and delusion within myself... is the red dot a delusion though? No one will ever tell me. Right Mindfulness- I will be aware and conscious of the path of my thoughts and deeds and strive to not fall into unwholesome states, such as when I become jealous of the cat on the other side of the mirror walking around like it owns the place. Right samadhi- I will develop and nurture an investigative and mindful state when I sleep... I mean meditate. Guys, I meant meditate."
