We wrote this up awhile back, but due to certain turns in the discourse (not here, fortunately) and the fact that this remains a massive goddamn problem even in queer spaces it's worth sharing again. It applies well outside of Asheville, ofc, though this town has a particularly bad case of this particular bigotry.
I hope the slideshow and the attached resources are useful. It's definitely due an expanded version at some point but we've all got a ton of work because, well, trans and poor.
